ABOUT

Tatiana is a sports dietitian specializing in combat sports, youth athletes, and disordered eating. Her goal is to help athletes reach their potential through personalized nutrition strategies. As a bilingual dietitian who grew up in Puerto Rico, where nutrition knowledge was not widely available, she bridges cultural gaps to make that guidance effective and relevant to every person she helps.

EXPERIENCE

With over eight years of experience in sports and performance nutrition, Tatiana is also a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). She currently works with Puerto Rico's national combat sports teams, including Taekwondo and Judo, and has extensive experience with weight-class sports like professional boxing, MMA, and brazilian jiu-jitsu. She also serves as the Latin America sports dietitian for the Tampa Bay Rays' Minor League Baseball organization.

EDUCATION

Tatiana holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez, an M.S. in Chemistry from The Ohio State University, and an M.S. in Human Nutrition from Drexel University, where she completed her clinical dietetic internship at the VA Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She received her sports nutrition training at Drexel's Nutrition and Performance Center, working alongside NCAA Division 1, MLS, and NHL teams.

Rocío A. Rivera-ORTEGA

ABOUT

Rocío is a sports dietitian from Puerto Rico, specializing in endurance sports, aquatic sports, team sports, female athletes, and disordered eating. Her passion for sports nutrition began through her own experience as a former athlete, where she saw firsthand the lack of accessible, sport nutrition education and expert support for athletes, which led her to help others bridge that gap. She is passionate about helping athletes perform at their best by building a positive, sustainable relationship with food and exercise.

EXPERIENCE

With over four years of clinical and performance nutrition experience, Rocío works extensively with runners, cyclists, and triathletes, including athletes from Puerto Rico's national teams. Her professional experience also includes MLB professionals, youth, female, and dance athletes, as well as organizations such as the JJ Barea Foundation in Puerto Rico.

EDUCATION

Rocío holds a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Puerto Rico and an M.S. in Nutrition in Physical Activity and Sport from UCAM University of Murcia, Spain, where she completed her sports nutrition training with UCAM's youth swimming team. She is also certified in Advanced Sports Nutrition from Barça Innovation Hub.
