PROGRAMS

  • No, our approach emphasizes balanced and flexible nutrition without strict diets or calorie counting. We promote mindful eating and building a healthy relationship with food, allowing you to enjoy your meals while achieving your performance and health goals. However, if you are a combat athlete, we may need to work with portioning for training camp protocols.

  • Yes, our behavioral nutrition services include optimizing mental health through nutrition and basic self-care. We address eating disorders, providing you with the tools and support needed to develop a healthy relationship with food.

  • Unlike traditional diets, our approach focuses on creating personalized nutrition plans that are sustainable and fit your lifestyle. We address your dietary needs and overall well-being, providing ongoing support and education to help you build lifelong healthy habits. All of our nutrition programs offer comprehensive support through our app, where you have daily access to your dietitian.

  • We understand that each person has different levels of availability and commitment. That’s why we also offer a “done-for-you” option where we handle more of the planning and preparation. CREDENTIALS

  • A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) is a food and nutrition expert who has met academic and professional requirements, including earning a bachelor’s degree, completing a supervised practice program, passing a national examination, and completing continuing professional educational requirements.

  • An LND/LDN is a state-licensed nutritionist or dietitian who meets specific licensure requirements to provide nutrition care services legally.

  • A sports nutrition specialist is a registered dietitian with advanced training and certification in sports nutrition. They are experts in providing dietary guidance tailored to athletes to enhance performance, support recovery, and maintain overall health. They have substantial experience and education in sports dietetics, often holding the Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) credential, which requires extensive practice hours and specialized education in sports nutrition.

  • MS: Masters in Science: Our masters degrees in science give us in-depth knowledge beyond a bachelor's degree. Tatiana Vélez, our lead sports dietitian, has a master's degree in Human Nutrition from Drexel University, and Rocío Rivera has a master's degree in Nutrition in Physical Activity and Sports from UCAM (University of Murcia) in Spain.

    RD: Registered Dietitian: Registered dietitians are food and nutrition experts who have completed a minimum of a master's degree from a regionally accredited university or college in the US, completed an ACEND®-accredited supervised practice program, passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietary Registration and completed continued professional education requirements to maintain registration.

    LDN: Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist: Puerto Rico licenses dietitians and nutritionists under an exclusive practice model. Only a licensed dietitian/nutritionist can provide nutritional counseling. Our qualification requirements include academic preparation, experience in the field, and ongoing exams offered by the Board of Nutritionists and Dietitians of Puerto Rico.

    CSSD: Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics

    ISAK-1: Certified by the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry

  • We accept various forms of payment, including credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA.

  • While we do not accept health insurance at this time, we can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
